NEC WI1520 - Hi end Workstation

Nec computers sell some of the best and powerful workstations on the international market. But they lack of identity as they were assembled using 3rd parties bezels.
The front cover of their WI 1250 WS has been designed taking inspiration from trucks in order to communicate strength and performances. Every single detail, such as vents and silencing, has been studied in strict collaboration with their technical department.

Alessandro Paulis

Italian. Degree with honors in Architecture with a specialization in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano, he completed his training at the UCLA (University of California - Los Angeles), the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle of Paris and the Mazda Research & Development of Irvine (California). Lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Design for the course in Strategic and Product Design and Tutor for workshops in Product Design, he was also a Visiting Professor for the Polytechnic of Milan, the ISIA of Florence, the UCLA (University of California - Los Angeles) and the SFSU (San Francisco State University). Architect and Designer, since 1993 he has worked with studios and design-oriented companies on Product Design, Packaging and Communication. 1996 to 2000 he was Design Director of MomoDesign in Milan.
